Randy B. Pugh, 69, passed away March 1, 2026 at Sacred Heart Medical Center from sepsis, due to diabetic complications.
Randy was born in
Spokane, WA to Brian and Marge Pugh (Benson). He attended his school years in the Mead School district. In grade school he met his best friends Larry Wittkopf and Sam Woodman. This friendship continued throughout his life.
In 1973, Randy went to Moses Lake in the summer to work for his uncle Harold, who had a scale business. That summer Randy met his first wife, Gina. Together they had 2 sons and 2 daughters. In 1975/1976 Randy, Gina and their son moved to Spokane where Randy worked at EZ Loader, a city garbage collector and driving truck for Wittkopf's. After the birth of their second son, in 1977 they returned to Moses Lake.
In 1987, a year after the tragic loss of his uncle Harold and his two cousins, Randy became the owner of Correll's Scale Service. Randy's eldest son followed in the family footsteps and worked for 37 years on scale construction and as a service tech. Randy deeply appreciated his son's dedication.
In 1994, Randy met Jennifer and her daughter Kylee and 4 years later they married.
Randy enjoyed a life full of family and friends. He started oval track racing with his #9 street stock and hobby car with his great friends Ron Stewart, Bill Rutherford and Jim Bise. Once racing became a struggle he became his grandson's, Aiden, pit crew boss for the #9 quarter midget. When he was not racing on weekends, he enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.
Randy was preceded in death by his dad, Brian in 1997.
Randy is survived by his wife, Jennifer of 28 years and his beloved Vizsla, Oliver, children Mike (Helen), Eric (Tamara), Jennifer, Amy and Kylee (Miguel), 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his mother Marge, sisters Peggy, Kathy (Frank) and Debby (Jeff), 5 nieces and 2 nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 17th 11 a.m. at the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy St., with a graveside farewell.
A second graveside farewell will take place in Spokane at Peone Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday May 9th where Randy will by laid to rest with his dad.
