Marie, you were a friend of my mother, Katie Garvey, and our neighbor, Mickey Milbach. I didn't know you were related to Mrs. Eggers until reading your obituary today. When I was a lonely child and you were a young architect, you took me to your home for an overnight visit from time to time. I especially remember playing with your new kitten. Later, after you married Bob but before you had children, you invited me to spend the night on your couch at the farm. At the time, you were making ceramic containers, and displayed them behind glass in the hallway. I remember treasuring the painted plate you gave me when I married. Later, I returned it to you because I was sure your daughter was truly more entitled to receive it.
I wish we had met again later in life, and wish we would have had time to talk. I'm sure I would have loved to have you as an adult friend.
At Mickey's funeral last week, I looked for you at the visitation, and only later realized that you were probably older than Mickey, and had most likely predeceased her. Tonight I found your obituary online. The photo of you shows the relaxation and happiness you had found. I'm happy that you enjoyed the life you made so much!
Thank you for being such a good friend to me when I was a child.

Your Mom was always known to me as Reetzie. She and my mom, Fan, were lifelong friends in Appleton. I still recall Reetzie's home on Elm St, next to the convent and St. Joe's School. One of the things I recall best about Reetzie was her WHISTLE. It was sharp and attention-getting! I am so sorry for your loss, which happened almost a year ago; I just now learned of her passing.

Marie was a caring, cheerful friend. I met her at a time when she had discovered an overload of clothing. She was my neighbor's aunt so reached out to see if she could be of any assistance to me in this area. I will never be able to thank her enough! We, also, shared the love of knitting needles. Marie was a very talented lady. I will miss her smiling face and gentle ways of sharing herself and her ideas. My condolences to her family. You now have a big part of Heaven looking down on you. I have no doubts that she had a relationship with God here on earth and was warmly ushered into the presence of her loving Heavenly Father.

Greta, Kurt and Tom, I just found out about the passing of your Mom. I wanted to send my condolences. Your mom was a hoot! I always enjoyed talking with her and her unique approach to life. No words seem adequate at a time like this. I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you all.
