Marietta Gough, age 82, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away on July 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous fight following a fall and traumatic brain injury. She was born on March 15, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

A proud Italian redhead, Marietta fit every stereotype in the best way-fiery, opinionated, and full of life. She never hesitated to share her thoughts, sometimes rough around the edges, but always out of deep love and concern for those she cared about. Her humor, honesty, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.

She dedicated many years to her career in banking. Marietta loved everything about Florida-cruising, the beach, sailing, and enjoying lunch and trips to the theater with friends. After retirement, she found joy and spent many years volunteering at the local hospital thrift shop.

Marietta's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her daughters Ginger Palmieri and Barbara Johncke (Anders); her cherished grandchildren Sam and Alycia Palmieri, and Claire and Connor Johncke; and her sister Pamela Bongiovani.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Robert L. Gough.

Marietta leaves behind countless memories and the reminder to live life with passion and "do what you're gonna do"
