BOSIKA, Marija (Mikleus) – of Davison, MI, age 70, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Trisagion Service will be held 2 PM Monday, November 18, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Fr. Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating. The family will receive visitors 1-2 PM Monday, November 18, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Marija's memory.
Marija was born in Uzdin, Serbia on July 16, 1954, daughter of Pavel and Ana (Bozin) Mikleus. Marija is survived by her husband Jonice, daughter Mimi, son-in-law Pedram and Pedram's entire family, her precious grandson Leo and his brother Pasha, her brother Paul and sister-in-law Persa, her nephew Octavian, his wife Erin, and their children Logan and Shane; on her husband's side, Marija is survived by her brother-in-law Viorel and sister-in-law Sofia; nephew Marinel, niece Sorina, her husband Ciprian and their daughter Ariana; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father Pavel and her mother Ana.
Marija was a nurse for 17 years in Serbia where she was known for her unwavering generosity and an extraordinary ability to comfort those in need. After arriving to the United States, her dedication to the well-being of others led her to serve as a compassionate caregiver to cancer patients for nearly 20 years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. Marija was the epitome of unconditional love and support, especially for her daughter Mimi and her cherished grandson Leo. She considered Leo her biggest blessing and gift – the source of the greatest joy in her life. He brought her love and happiness beyond measure, and he will miss her dearly. A woman of quiet strength, Marija was always there for her family, her friends and those in need-especially the sick, the suffering, and those who needed someone to believe in them. She had a unique gift of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. To know her was to know the meaning of true selflessness. Her family and friends are left with broken hearts, but also with a profound sense of gratitude for the time they shared with such a remarkable woman.
