Mariland Hackmann, age 89 of Linn, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Mariland was born June 16, 1935, in Fredericksburg, a daughter to the late Hugh and Ida (Lange) McGuire.
She attended school in Fredericksburg.
On February 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Clarence H. Hackmann in Morrison. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1997.
Mariland was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She enjoyed deer hunting, squirrel hunting, fishing, playing cards and quilting.
Mariland is survived by a son, Leonard Hackmann and his wife Mary Lou of Linn; two daughters, Joyce Goodding and her husband Jeffrey of Linn and Patricia Pombo of the State of Utah; one sister, Doris McKague of Herman; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse of 46 years, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Yvonne Hackmann, Lola Jolly, and Dianna Aday; as well as four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Colin Franklin as the Celebrant. Interment will be held in St. George Parish Cemetery.
