Marilyn Prentice Allen went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2024. She was 94 years of age. Marilyn was born June 13, 1930, in Levelland, Texas, to Bradley Martin and Gladys Leona Prentice.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Allen, infant son Stephen Wayne Allen, her parents; five brothers: Ralph Prentice, Ross Prentice, Floyd "Big Pete" Prentice, Neil Prentice, Melvin "Little Pete" Prentice, and one sister, Erma Prentice Whorton.
Survivors include daughter Jaynie Allen Branham and her husband John, daughter Judy Allen Barnett, grandson Benjamin Barnett, granddaughter Christina Pratt and her husband Joel, great-grandson John Broughton, sister-in-law Emmalee Prentice , and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, and a brief, informal service on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:00 AM. Both will be held in the Family Center at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX.
