Marilyn Bacon Obituary
Marilyn was born on June 1, 1945 in Effingham, Illinois to Arthur and Lydia Kirchhofer. She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Bacon of 37 years; sisters, Sharon (Robert) Carilyn (Lonnie); brother, Lee (Karyn); sons, George (Laurie) and Michael, and daughter, Charolette (Kenny)
Marilyn was also a proud grandmother to Heather (Chris), Brittani, Keith, Cory, Madilyn and a great-grandmother, to Avah and Sofia. She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, baby Lucero.
Marilyn enjoyed her beautiful home overlooking the Rio Grande and the city lights of Albuquerque. She also loved gardening, being with family, taking camping trips and dancing.
Above all Marilyn loved the Lord.
A Celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., Legacy Church East Campus, 4701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
Please have any flower deliveries at Legacy by 9:00 a.m., day of service.
Donating to American Cancer Society would be a meaningful way to honor Marilyn's life.

My condolences go out to Marilyn´s family. It was always a pleasure to be around her because of her kindness as well as her unequaled personality. I smile when I think of her. She will be missed by many. We´re thinking about you during these times Dwayne.

It was a sad day when Marilyn left to be with our Lord but a happy day for her. She was so much fun and was always laughing.....she loved her family and friends and they loved her. I will always remember when she and Dwayne came by to see us in Arizona ....Dwayne tripped over a piece of cement....fell and hit his head...He was hurting but Marilyn started laughing and then all of us were laughing. Sorry Dwayne.....Marilyn and I are still laughing.....I love you Marilyn and I miss you so very much...You have touched so many peoples lives.....Mike and George she carries you with her forever. Dwayne she will never leave you. A wonderful family .....

I have a wonderful memory from college (in the '90's) of Dwayne & Marilyn's hospitality and bright, loving personalities. Marilyn's twin (my Aunt Carilyn) and I took a road trip to Albuquerque for the purpose of a clinical rotation for my schooling. We stayed in Dwayne and Marilyn's home for the entire week. I remember hugs, lots of stories, lots of laughter, great food, and the breathtaking similarity between Carilyn and Marilyn as twins. The love in that home was evident, and shared with me while I was there. Heaven's gain and Marilyn's gain are an Earthly loss for certain. My prayers and very sincere condolences to each and every one of her family members.
