Marilyn J. Beimer, 100, of Richland, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Meilland Square Memory Care in Kalamazoo. She was born June 30, 1925, in Allegan, Michigan, the daughter of Leon Shimmons and LaVern (Wynne) Shimmons. Marilyn was a dedicated wife and mother to her husband, Carl, and their children, Gary and Jim. In addition to taking care of her family, Marilyn was employed by the Kalamazoo Child Guidance Clinic, retiring after 26 years.
She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Cheryl) Beimer and James (Miriam) Beimer both of Richland; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Jane) Beimer, Chad (Stacy) Beimer, Katelyn (Grant) Segur; and five great-grandchildren, Paige Beimer, Mara Beimer, Hazel Segur, James Beimer, Max Segur; along with many nieces and nephews.
