Marilyn Bernier Obituary
Marilyn E. (Anderson) Bernier, 84, passed away on July 14, 2025.
She was born in Torrington, January 30, 1941, to the late Einar and Dorothy (Cook) Anderson. After raising her family she went to work for the State of Connecticut where she worked in the Department of Social Services and retired in 2003 after many years of service.
Marilyn is survived by her four sons; Jay Heller, Garry Heller, Mark Heller and Brian Heller, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Anderson and one sister-in-law, Eunice Anderson. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Danielle Heller; brothers Henry Anderson and William Anderson, and sisters Nancy Gilbert and Sally Lukos.
Marilyn loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping for many years and playing bingo and trips to the casino.
Marilyn was also a member of the Veneta Club where she enjoyed helping others through many fundraising activities.
Calling hours are Monday, July 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in East Morris Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to the family. "Mernie" what i called her was a very nice person. I worked with her for many years in Torrington. I´m sure she will be missed by many.
