Livermore - Marilyn Fay Blossom, aged 92, of Livermore, CA, passed away on September 11, 2024. Born on July 26, 1932, Marilyn dedicated her professional life to payroll management, serving at Wonder Hostess Bakery in Spokane, WA, from 1952 to 1968, and at Golden Grain/Ghirardelli Chocolate in San Leandro, CA, from 1969 until her retirement in 1987.

Marilyn was a cherished member of her community, known for her vibrant personality and generous spirit. She loved life, embracing every moment with a smile and laughter. Marilyn was deeply devoted to her family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her warm, sweet nature made her beloved by many, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Lee Blossom (1991); her father, Victor Guy Reames (1967); her mother, Fay Reames (2004); and her brother, Vern Monroe Reames (2012). Marilyn is survived by her loving family: daughter, Tricia Svenningsen and husband, Leslie; granddaughters, Andrea Martinez (Carlos), Shannon Stewart (Jon); grandson, Devin Svenningsen; great-grandchildren, Corinna Martinez, Hailey Martinez, Kaitlyn Stewart, and Connor Stewart; sister, Lois Williams (Harley); sister-in-law, Sharon Reames; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marilyn's hobbies brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She relished outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, and camping, and cherished a memorable trip to Norway with her husband. An avid sightseer, she particularly adored San Francisco. Marilyn also enjoyed cherry and huckleberry picking, engaging in various crafts, and collecting photos of her great-grandchildren. In her later years, she rekindled her love for music and dancing, greatly aided by the special caregivers at Quail Garden Assisted Living.

Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA, on September 21, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity in Marilyn's memory.
