Marilyn Ann Bonfigt, 76, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life with family by her side on Monday, March 31, 2025 at her home.
Marilyn was born on September 29, 1948 in Manitowoc to the late Ben and Marcella (Grall) Kohlbeck. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1966, she went on to work in the office at Mirro for the next 30 plus years and finished her career at Woodland Clinic. On November 10, 1972 Marilyn married Ken Bonfigt. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2000. Marilyn enjoyed working in her flower beds, traveling, yoga and volunteering at the Senior Center and Salvation Army. Most important to her was spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include Marilyn's son, Jason (Kelly) Bonfigt, whom she loved deeply; sister, Sandy (John) Gauthier; brother, Allen (Janice) Kohlbeck; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Ben) Valenta and Janice (Ron) Gollata; brother-in-law, Dale (Doreen) Bonfigt; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; parents, Ben and Marcella Kohlbeck; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Eleanor Bonfigt; and special friend, Don Hoff.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Mike Valenta will officiate with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. A luncheon for family and friends will follow at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
