Marilyn Buben Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rossell Funeral Home - Flushing on Sep. 24, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we, Kelli and Jay Marshall, announce the peaceful transition of our beloved mother and grandmother, Marilyn Buben, on September 20, 2024, reuniting with her son, Jay Michael Falk; husband, Ken Buben; parents, Laurence and Marie Thompson; and sister, Carol Walchak.
Marilyn was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose endless love and dedication touched everyone around her. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel special, whether through a thoughtful card, a caring phone call, or a playful, sometimes delightfully offbeat Facebook post or comment.
Known for her incredible home-cooked meals, Marilyn's Christmas baked goods were the stuff of legend-melting in your mouth and shared with love among family and friends.
Her compassion and generosity knew no bounds. Marilyn was always there for her friends, offering unwavering support when they needed it most. She was a grandma figure to many children, always excited to craft homemade embroidery gifts and ready to offer a ride to or from school or be the cheerleader during after-school activities when working mothers needed help. Her love and selflessness will be deeply missed.
Above all, Marilyn loved her daughter and grandson fiercely. She was incredibly proud of the lives they lead and found joy in their many accomplishments.
To everyone who was a part of Marilyn's life, we thank you. Please join us in raising a glass to celebrate her life and memory on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Duffy's, 125 Main St. Flushing, MI.
Marilyn and Ken were loyal members of The Moose Lodge of Flushing whose mission is "Dedicated to Caring for the Young and Old, Bringing Communities Closer Together, and Celebrating Life." In lieu of flowers may we suggest donations be made to the Moose Lodge in their names.
