Marilyn M. Campbell, age 87, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on January 3, 2026. Marilyn was born on June 6, 1938, to the late Richmond Miller and Margaret (Whyte) Miller.
Marilyn was a proud graduate of TL Handy High School, class of 1956, laying the foundation for her commitment to education. She continued her studies at Bay City Junior College before attending Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1976. Her academic achievements paved the way for a fulfilling career as a medical technologist. She served at Samaritan Hospital in Bay City and the VA Hospital in Saginaw, where she touched countless lives with her expertise and kindness.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Marilyn was deeply invested in her community. She was an avid supporter of literacy programs such as READ and HOSTS, helping young children develop their reading skills. Her volunteer efforts extended to Kempton Elementary School, where she assisted in the third grade, fostering a nurturing environment for students. As a devoted member of St. Dominic Parish (St. Stephen Catholic Church), Marilyn participated in various church committees and was an active participant in an ecumenical group, demonstrating her unwavering faith and commitment to service.
Marilyn's interests were varied; she enjoyed traveling the world with her beloved husband Gary, celebrating 44 years of marriage together. In her leisure time, she found joy in playing golf and took pride in her memberships with the Hospital Hospitality House and the Saginaw County Lawyers Auxiliary.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Gary Campbell; niece Kathy (Michael) Maris; niece Amy Robison; niece Cindy (Timothy) Walker, nephew Jeffrey Miller; and many great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law David Campbell, sister-in-law Gail Braley, and brother-in-law Paul Campbell.
She was predeceased by her parents Richmond and Margaret Miller; sister Sally Miller, and brother Richard (Dorothy) Miller; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Rose Campbell.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Dominic Parish (St. Stephen Catholic Church), 1310 Malzahn St, Saginaw, MI 48602, where the Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate the service with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.
