Marilyn S. Chesner of Somerset died Thursday, September 18th at the Regency Jewish Heritage Care Center, Somerset. She was 95 .

Born in Lakewood, she resided in Ewing Twp. before moving to Somerset 67 years ago.

Mrs. Chesner received her bachelor's degree as well as her master's degree from Trenton State College in Music.

Marilyn was a Music Teacher with the Franklin Twp. Board of Education for over 40 yrs. retiring in 1992. She also was a Choir Director for several local church's.

A member of the Middlebush Reformed Church, of Somerset.

Mrs. Chesner had a love for music, gardening and enjoyed feeding her birds in the back yard of her home.

Predeceased by her 1st husband Richard Robinson 1995 and her 2nd husband Walter Chesner 2007. Surviving are her sons Thomas, Richard, Frederick and Jeffrey Robinson; 2 stepsons Craig and Scott Chesner; 2 sisters Sharon and Patricia; 13 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will Monday, September 22, 2025, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in The GLEASON FUNERAL HOME, 1360 Hamilton Street, Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ. Funeral services will take place at Middlebush Reformed Church, 1 Middlebush Road, Somerset, NJ at 10:30am. ALL SERVICES WILL BE AT CHURCH, PLEASE ARRIVE BY 10:15AM.

Entombment to follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Memorial gifts can be made to Middlebush Reformed Church in memory of Marilyn.
