Marilyn Edith Churchill

Marilyn Edith (Glazier) Churchill, age 80, of West Grove, PA, passed away in the early morning of December 26, 2022, at Jenner's Pond Retirement Community. Born in Boston, MA, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Melvin Glazier and Bernice (Cook) Glazier. She lived most of her early life in Milton and Sharon, MA. Marilyn moved to Wilmington, DE in 1969, when her husband was hired by E.I. DuPont.
Marilyn worked in various business positions prior to moving to Wilmington, DE, where she spent many years raising her family. While living in Wilmington, she was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was a regular participant in the Brandywine YMCA Arthritis Aquatics Class. She also enjoyed cats, daytime soap operas, bird watching, flowers, and being a Day Lily Garden Judge, which gave her the opportunity to travel to many lily gardens on the East Coast. Additionally, Marilyn became an Amateur Radio Operator with the call sign, KB3GNK. Upon moving to Jenner's Pond, she enjoyed participating in the Harmony and JP Chorus and knitting group. Marilyn also enjoyed traveling with her family, especially annual summer vacations to Maine on the Penobscot Bay. Her longest trip was in 1982, when she spent a month going around the world with Ralph on Pan Am 1.
Marilyn will be missed most for her warm and caring personality. She was very generous with time and attention. She helped us all to be better people.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph Churchill; sons, Keith Churchill and Brian Churchill (Jaime); grandson, Jacob Churchill; granddaughters, Isabella Churchill and Coral Churchill; great granddaughter, Oaklynne Frederickson; sister, Linda Taylor; stepbrother, Ted Wells; and stepsisters, Merritt Stites and Carolyn Wells.
Her life celebration service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
