Marilyn June Cunningham, 85, of Coralville, IA, formerly of Davenport, FL, passed away, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at her daughter's home. Private family services have been held, entombment has taken place at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Marilyn was born on January 31, 1940, in Alton, IL, the daughter of Alfred and Opal (Hanna) Butler. She graduated from Alton High School Class of 1959. Marilyn was a united in marriage to Bruce A Cunningham on April 6,1962 in Boone IA. He preceded her in death March 31, 2005. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, earning title of Queen Mother and Life Change Church in Sioux Falls. Marilyn was an artist and enjoyed sewing and drawing. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and spending time with her grandkids. Marilyn had her aviation license and enjoyed traveling with her husband. After Bruce died, Marilyn moved to Florida and was known as the "Duck Grandma," as she enjoyed feeding the ducks in her neighborhood.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Darling of Coralville, and Dianne (Quentin) Beard of Sioux Falls, SD; and three grandchildren, Rebecca Darling of Coralville, and Hunter and Tanner Beard of Sioux Falls, SD.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; and three siblings, James and Daniel Butler, and Evelyn Ward.
