Marilyn P. Dennison

Obituary
Marilyn Dennison of Arvada, CO died March 17, 2022 at the age of 93. Marilyn was born in Brush, CO and raised in Deer Trail, CO. She spent a very happy childhood spending time in town and at her grandparent's ranch on the eastern plains. Marilyn graduated from Deer Trail High School in 1946. After high school, she moved to Denver where she landed her first job. Marilyn worked many years as a Mountain Bell telephone operator. Marilyn enjoyed this type of work and spent many years as a receptionist at various insurance companies. She worked in this capacity well into her 60's.
Marilyn was active in her church community. She enjoyed weekly bible studies and being involved in other church activities. Marilyn was a wonderful cook and took particular pleasure in providing Sunday dinners for her family. Marilyn loved to volunteer. During her retirement, she spent time volunteering at a local hospital's gift shop, working election days, and volunteering as a resident leader in her retirement community. Marilyn most of all enjoyed being with her family. Granddaughters Jordan and Rachel held an especially special place in her heart.
Marilyn is survived by sons (Paul and Brian Dennison), daughter in law (Leah Dennison) and granddaughters (Jordan Dennison and Rachel Greco). Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband (Paul Dennison), her brother (Rodney Davis) and her son (Ronald Davis).
A private family ceremony will be held at the Deer Trail Cemetery.
