Marilyn Jeanette DeWitt was born October 16, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to James and Idelle Bachelor.
Jeanette, as she was called, attended Robert E. Lee High School.
She grew up with two sisters, Linda Minchew (Willacoochee, Georgia), and Barabara White, (Titusville, Florida), and one brother, Carl Bachelor, (formerly of Lancaster, California). She met Chuck DeWitt in Atlanta and he would end up being her husband of 50 years. Together, they raised 3 daughters; Sandra DeWitt Williams (Council Bluffs, Iowa), Crystal DeWitt Jorgensen (Mount Airy, Georgia) and Cathy DeWitt Haroon (Winter Springs, Florida). She had 6 grandchildren.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and most of all, her garden. She loved her cat Festus, who she and Chuck both adored. She also loved a good martini. So cheers to Jeanette, as she will be dearly missed!
