Obituary published on Legacy.com by Waite Funeral Home Brunswick on Apr. 6, 2024.
On the evening of April 3, 2024, with family by her side at home, Marilyn Faye Ehrman passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While her passing has left us with grief and sadness, heaven is rejoicing as she begins her renewed eternal life.
Marilyn was born on February 5, 1937, in
Cadiz, Ohio. In 1939 she, along with her twin brother Ronald, were adopted by Laurette and O.C. Duke and brought to Medina to join their family. She grew up loving her church and became a member of the Medina First Baptist Church and was a 1955 graduate of Medina High School. This city girl had a chance meeting with a young dairy farmer that was in town to pick up medication from the local veterinarian. She fell in love and married this farmer, Franklin Ehrman on December 26, 1957 and spent her life on the dairy farm in York Township. She became the most devoted wife, mother, friend, caregiver, farm worker, and housewife and was always there with love, support, help, and advice. Marilyn lived her life to the fullest through Christian devotion, hard work, and was the backbone of FranMar Farms. She was active in the York Garden Club, York Township Historical Society, Medina County Farm Bureau Women's Committee, and Medina County Dairy Boosters. Marilyn loved being outdoors mowing the yard, tending her flower gardens, and feeding and watching a variety of birds. She was a collector of postcards, antiques, and Czeck pottery that she would often enter at the Medina County Fair. She also loved her drives around the countryside with Frank and eating out. Most recently she enjoyed being competitive playing board games and cards.
She will be deeply missed by so many that loved her wit and sense of humor, kind manner, and compassionate heart. Next to God, her family was the center of her world. Surviving is her brother Ronald and her children, David (Sue), Christine (Brian) Barnes, and Linda Beardsley (Marty Klein) all of York Township. She was proud of her grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Ehrman and Jessica (Nick) Pak, LeighAnn (Chris) Garver, Justin (Kara) Wolff, and Anna (Shane) Himmel. She was even more proud of her great-grandchildren Mea and Chase Ehrman, Layne and Lillian Pak and Wesley and Evelynn Garver. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank and sister Verjean.
In her adult life, Marilyn considered herself richly blessed to connect with her birth siblings that she was separated from as a young child. They included brothers Perle, Ed (Rhea), Paul, Herb, and George, and sisters Jean and Charlotte.
A private graveside service has already been held and Marilyn was interred next to Frank at the York Township Cemetery in Mallet Creek.
