PIQUA - Marilyn "Sue" Elliott, 85, formerly of Piqua, more recently of Jamestown, passed away at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by loving family.
She was born October 16, 1935 in Piqua to the late Wilsey and Mabel (Millhouse) Hildebrand. She married Maynard W. Elliott July 1, 1967 in Piqua; he preceded her in death June 2, 2013.
Survivors include three children, Michael Wood of Troy, Susan "Susie" (Rick) Laine of Bradford, Amy (Robert) Eakins of Jamestown; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Regina Alexander of Piqua; also many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Hildebrand.
Mrs. Elliott was a graduate of Piqua Central High School and worked for Troy Elevator as a Secretary. Sue was a longtime faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, playing dominos and cards with friends and family. Sue enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg and Amish Country. She loved to participate at the Heritage Festival with the church, making chicken noodles and apple dumplings for the church's booth. Sue loved spending time with her family, and going to watch the grandkid's sporting events.
A service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., Suite B, Xenia, OH 45385. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com.
