Sending my condolences to the family. I worked with Marilyn at Catholic Charities. Under her take no-nonsense exterior she was always so kind to me. I will always remember when she out of the blew surprised me with some cute necklaces. I remember her always speaking proudly of her grand children. She could always be counted on and was greatly missed at the Lake office when she left. Rest peacefully.

When I first got to know Marilyn at Catholic Charities, I was still learning my way, but I knew I wanted to be Marilyn when I grew up. Unafraid to say what you think and fight for what is right. She was one of my idols and role models. I told her those things a few years ago, but I don't think she believed me. People were afraid of what she was going to say next and I loved the nervousness and anticipation in the room. It's been a while since I've seen her, but I will always smile when I think of her.
Michelle, I'm sorry for your family's loss of an amazing woman.
