Marilyn Gandy Obituary
Marilyn D. (Wallace) Gandy, 72, of London, died Friday, March 8, 2024, in the Bluebird Retirement Community, London.
Born January 9, 1952, in Columbus, she was a daughter of Gaston Howard Wallace and Margaret (Winslow) Wallace.
After becoming a breast cancer survivor, Marilyn took it upon herself to always advocate for breast cancer awareness and those still fighting their own battles. She was a faithful member of the Sisters in the Lord as well as the former Progressive Nine. Marilyn also enjoyed playing softball, bowling, playing bingo and cards, fishing, and taking cruises with friends and family. The matriarch of her family, Marilyn always made sure everyone was well taken care of and made sure to always express her love for others.
She leaves behind two sons: Derek (Dacia) Gandy and Marcus (Cindy) Gandy; grandchildren Jurney, A'Mara, Butch, Brooke, Chase; great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Gage, Colt, Grayson, Leighton, Davina; brothers Harry Wallace and Jay (Patty) Wallace, sisters Susan Sarwar, Kimberly Wallace, and Carla (Willie Jr.) Hopkins; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends; in-laws Lesie (Lois) Gandy, Emmett Gandy, Jerry Gandy, Perry (Elizabeth) Gandy, and Renee Gandy-Hoosier.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Ellis Gandy in 2014; siblings Sharon (George) Hall, Leroy Winslow, Gaston Wallace Jr., Marsha Wallace, Ricki Wallace.
Homegoing services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM in the Fountain of Truth Ministries, 135 Maple Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Tyrone Artis officiating. Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, where condolences are encouraged to be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
