Marilyn A. Grecco, 83, of Carbondale, PA, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 under the care of hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ralph N. Grecco on February 16, 2018.

Born July 7, 1941 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Sladicka Yanchek. Marilyn was a graduate of St. Rose High School and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. She formerly worked at Fashions 9.99 in Eynon, and Lynn's Hallmark in Carbondale. Marilyn was a very talented craft maker and sewer. She found enjoyment making floral wreaths and sewing costumes and dresses for family members.

The family would like to thank their cousin, Donna Kohut and Marilyn's caregiver, Carmella Williams for their constant support during Marilyn's illness. They also extend thanks to nurses, Judy and Lisa, social worker, Tim, Chaplain Dotson and aide, Trish of Home Health Care Professionals Hospice.

She is survived by two children: Maria Meta and husband, Tony of Rosedale, MD and Ann Grecco of Carbondale, PA; two: grandchildren: Corey Wright and Morgan Wright and companion, Kyle Siegel; one great-granddaughter: Adrianna Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Joan Connor; and a brother: Stephen Yanchek, Jr.

The funeral was held Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, officiated by Rev. Joseph Mosley, senior priest at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale, PA. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Pallbearers: Corey Wright, Kyle Segal, Tony Meta, Joseph Kohut, Gene Connor and Damian Rusin.

Viewing hours were held Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 3 to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations were sent to the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson's Foundation.
