Marilyn Bernice Harris, 97, passed away peacefully at her home in Nixa, Missouri, on February 13, 2026.
She was born on October 12, 1928, in St. Joe, Arkansas, to Jewel and Ranney Watts. Raised a country girl, Marilyn grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for simple living that stayed with her throughout her life.
After graduating, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to find work and start a new chapter. It was there that she met the love of her life, Noel Harris. They were married in 1951 and built a life together centered on hard work, family, and devotion to one another.
In retirement, Marilyn and Noel moved to Harrison, Arkansas, where they bought a farm and enjoyed the quiet life she had always loved. Being back in the country suited her well.
Marilyn had a special talent for crafting, especially at Christmastime. She made countless dolls, snowmen, Santas, and other holiday decorations by hand. Her creations became treasured keepsakes for family and friends, and the Christmas season was always a little brighter because of her work.
She loved the Lord and carried that faith in her own steady, personal way.
Marilyn will be remembered for her strength, her creativity, her love of home and family, and the many handmade gifts that will continue to bring comfort and memories for years to come. She will be deeply missed.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Terrie Daniels, grandsons Nathan Daniels and Mike Dill, granddaughter Kelsie Nunley, great-granddaughters Amelia Nunley and Kalea Bateman, and nephew Jeff Gardner.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Noel Bryan Harris and step-daughter Connie Gardner.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2026 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
