Vicky Lyn Poling, age 46, of Kimberling City, Missouri, passed away on February 5, 2026. She was born on July 27, 1979, in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Mark and Gail (Larry) Holstein.
Vicky was a proud graduate of Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois, Class of 1997. She later became the beloved owner of The Variety Shoppe in Kimberling City, where her welcoming spirit and bright smile made everyone feel at home. She also gave generously of her time, volunteering at the Kimberling City Senior Center, always eager to serve and uplift others.
Above all else, Vicky loved her family. Her children were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into being their mother. She had a deep love for people and a gift for connection — she was caring, affectionate, outgoing, funny, and endlessly generous. Her loyalty to her family and friends was unwavering, and her presence brought warmth and joy wherever she went.
She embraced life fully — from city shopping to the beauty of lake life. She especially loved paddle boarding and boating, finding peace and happiness on the water.
She is survived by her loving mother, Gail Larry Holstein; her father, Mark Holstein and wife Connie; her cherished children, Gavin Scott Poling and Alyssa Grace Poling; her beloved sister, Heather Holstein; her brother, Mark Holstein Jr.; her sister in law, Becky Holstein; her niece, Lexi Holstein; her nephew, Griffin Holstein; her godmother, Peggy Larry DiFazio; and her godfather, David Holstein; and all the Aunties.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joanne and Kenneth Larry, and Herman and Hertha Holstein.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, Missouri.
