Walter Patrick McCarty Jr.

Walter Patrick McCarty, Jr, born January 2, 1945, in Chicago, IL, retired owner of McCarty Bros. in Broadview, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by daughters Lisa Cross, Laura Gibson (Michael), and grandson Adam Cross, all of Plainfield, IL. Walter attended St Vincent Ferrer Elementary School, Fenwick High School and graduated from Marquette University. He and wife Lori, lived in North Fort Myers, FL for the past 7 yrs. Walt was blessed with 3 step children, Traci (Stacy) Adelman, and Mandy (Jason) Deutsch both of Naperville, and Wendy (David) Kil of Bradenton, FL. Additionally he was graced with 6 grandchildren Annalee & Carlee Adelman, Jacob & Lauren Deutsch, and Chloe & Ellie Kil. Walt was a member of Air Conditioning Contractors Association and Knights of Columbus, #8074 of Punta Gorda, St. Vincent de Paul diocese. Proceeded in death by loving wife Carol (née Houillon), daughter Suzanne, son in-law Gregory Cross, brother and sister in-law Robert and Joan Houillon, Walter Sr. and wife Betty. A visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison, Willowbrook, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 31, 2026, St Mary Immaculate Church, 15629 Route 59, Plainfield, IL Private family interment.
