Marilyn Himelstein

INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mrs. Marilyn Krupnick Himelstein, age 81, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her home. She was born March 8, 1943, the daughter of the late Alexander Krupnick and the late Lillian Smith Krupnick and was the loving wife of Stanely Himelstein. Marilyn enjoyed playing the piano, singing, dancing, working on her computer, and looking through past photos. She loved traveling and sight-seeing throughout The United States. Her local favorite place to visit was Charleston, SC, and she always looked forward to her annual visits with her family on holidays. Marilyn was a member of the Sun City Choral Society. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and especially being "Grammy" to her grandchildren. Grammy taught all her grandchildren how to cook holiday recipes.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanely Himelstein; her son, Jay Evan Himelstein; her daughter, Dara Settlecowski, and her husband, Brian; three grandchildren, Alex Settlecowski, and his wife, Meredith, Amie Settlecowski, and her husband, Alex Effinger; and Emily Settlecowski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Lilian Krupnick; and her brother, Gerald Krupnick.
The Celebration of Life Service for Marilyn will be held privately.
