Marilyn L. Jacobs, formerly of Penbrook, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 16, 2025 at the age of 83.
Born May 10, 1942, in Dauphin, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Thelma (Hoffsmith) Capp. Prior to her retirement, Marilyn had worked as a Visual Merchandiser for Sears, Roebuck Co. for many years.
Marilyn was blessed with a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. She touched the lives of everyone she met in a uniquely beautiful and lasting way. Marilyn was selfless and was always willing to help anyone in need. In return she was appreciated and loved by many people throughout her life. In her later years, Marilyn volunteered her time at food banks and delivering meals to those who could not leave their homes. She had been a faithful member of Penbrook Church of God.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Julie and grandchildren, Tammy, Lorrie and Gregory. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren as well as her sisters, Maureen and Ruth and brothers, Robert, Harrison "Red", Edgar, Irving and Albert. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ronald; a daughter, Susan; her sister, Thelma and brother, Robert. Her love also extended to her many nieces, nephews and friends.
As her family mourns the passing of this angel on earth, they also celebrate the love she shared so freely. The light she brought into everyone's life will be missed but the legacy she created, by the joy she brought, will endure.
"Fly high our angel, watch over us and help guide us for the rest of our days until we see each other again."
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for her viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc., 1334 North Second Street, Harrisburg, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
