John Timothy Stevens, Jr., affectionately known as Johnny to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025, at the age of 29.
Born on March 9, 1996, in Harrisburg, Johnny was the beloved son of Spiridoula Paparounis and the late John Timothy Stevens, Sr. He was an older brother to Matthew T. Stevens, Peter J. Stevens, and Andrew W. Stevens. His paternal grandmother, Sheila Stevens, maternal grandmother, Eleni Wolfe, and her husband Terry, who he considered to be his Grandpa; along with the cherished memories of his late grandfathers, Donald Stevens and Panagiotis "Pete" Paparounis and late cousin, Joseph Stevens, complete the family tapestry that shaped his life.
A 2014 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, he was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Camp Hill.
Johnny possessed a kind soul and a passion for life that was multifaceted. He had a special connection with animals - particularly his cats, Rainbow and Summer, who were a source of endless companionship. A member of the Mechanicsburg Sportsmen's Association, his deep appreciation for guns was more than a hobby; it was a pursuit of knowledge. Johnny was known for his extensive understanding of firearms' history and mechanics, and he found camaraderie and relaxation at the shooting range. His intrigue for history went beyond hobbies as he was extremely knowledgeable about military conflicts and wars.
Whether in the tranquility of the pool or the expanse of the beach, Johnny cherished the moments of peace and tranquility he could spend in the water. While he had a great fondness for eating at Jersey Mike's, cooking was another of Johnny's passions. He appreciated the art of creating flavors and the joy of sharing meals. The times spent with his family were among his most treasured, as they often combined his love for food with the company of those who were the most important in his life.
