Robert S. "Rob" Cowman

Robert S. Cowman, 67, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026. Born on April 12, 1958, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Quentin Rice Cowman and Mary Constance (Ryder) Cowman.

Rob was a graduate of Camp Hill High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Lynchburg College. He furthered his education at Shippensburg University, where he received his Master's Degree in Political Science. Robert worked as a Political Analyst prior to his retirement.

Robt truly embraced life beyond his professional career. He had a lifelong love of golf and could often be found on the course. The arc of his swing was like an art form. Congrats on your 7 holes-in-one, Rob! He coached Kathleen in soccer and basketball and Peter in soccer. Of course, he coached them both in golf. An avid sports fan, Rob closely followed many teams of every sport, with a special devotion to the Phillies, Penn State, and Camp Hill. He had a deep voice and much affection. for animals as well as a fondness for convertibles and conversation. Whether spending time with friends, watching a game, or enjoying a round of golf, Robert had a love for life. His laughter was contagious.

Rob leaves behind his son, Peter Thomas Cowman; his daughter, Kathleen Ryder Cowman; his brother, Quentin "Pete" Cowman; his sister, Judy Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, 3PM, at Hetrick Bitner Funeral Home, Inc., 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 2PM-3PM at the funeral home.
