Lorraine (Maike) Cowman, age 96, of Chesaning, passed away on August 14, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1929 to the late Fred and Theresa (Constine) Maike and resided in Chesaning her entire life. She was united in marriage to the late Joseph Cowman on August 5, 1950. Lorraine was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Chesaning.

Lorraine loved her small town lifestyle. She came from a large family and enjoyed visiting with them as well as her numerous friends. Her great sense of humor kept everyone laughing as there was never a dull moment with her around. Lorraine enjoyed spending time in her kitchen baking pies and other delicious foods. She also kept busy by playing cards with friends and family, scratching lottery tickets, taking occasional trips to the casino, and following her favorite sports teams on television.

Lorraine is survived by her children, John (Denise Mahoney) Cowman of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Ron (Margaret) Cowman of Boise, Idaho; Patti O' Brien of Suffolk, Virginia; Doug (Lori) Cowman of West Olive, Michigan; Jeff Cowman of Chesaning; daughter-in-law, Margie Cowman of Caldwell, Idaho; her siblings, Lucille Maike and Lavern Maike; along with nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her son, David; her son-in-law, Bill O' Brien; and siblings, Clarence, Alfred, Walter, Louis, Evelyn Danek, Lawrence, Leonard, Gerald, Jim, and Jane Vondrosek.

A memorial service, with reception following, will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Chesaning. Donations in memory of Lorraine can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or the charity of your choice.
