Marilyn A. Johnson

Marilyn Johnson, "Swede", beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025 at the age of 95. She is survived by daughter Deborah Bailey, son Greg Johnson, daughter Victoria Smith, and daughter Kristin Catt. Born on March 24, 1930, Marilyn's life was marked by a deep love for her family, an adventurous spirit and an excellent sense of style.

Marilyn was a devoted mother to four wonderful children, and "grammy" to eight cherished grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She spent many weekends at her family's cabins in Knife River and Cross Lake, Minnesota, where she enjoyed sailing, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies and spending time with family and friends.

Marilyn was deeply committed to her faith and was a life long member of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. She was passionate about giving back to those less fortunate, volunteering countless hours at the Courage Center and Meals on Wheels. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Marilyn had a love of travel with trips to Egypt, Africa, Israel, and the Caribbean. She will be remembered for her sense of style, her positive attitude, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Marilyn's legacy of faith, family, and service will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.
