Marilyn Kaczmarek of Dunmore died Wednesday at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald E. Kaczmarek who died April 17, 2021. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Semanko Golden, and was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Prior to retirement she worked at WEA manufacturing . Marilyn was an avid baker for over forty years specializing in "Nut Rolls" and cookies. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Scranton.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald and wife Laura Kaczmarek of Florida, David J. Kaczmarek of Dunmore, three daughters Debbie Livingston of Old Forge, Maryann Lupia of Dunmore, and Bonnie Smith of Dunmore, nine grandchildren; Kyle Livingston, Amy Havenstrite and husband Eric, Jessie Frace, Joseph Lupia, Christy Smith, Courtney and husband Andrew DeLeon, Kiersten and husband Brendan McDonald, Samantha Kaczmarek, Lee Kaczmarek and wife Megan, and four great grandchildren, Alaina Kaczmarek, Saige Havenstrite, Matthew Kaczmarek and Amelia DeLeon and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Thomas Livingston, brothers Andrew, Joseph, Francis, and Edward Golden.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral Home 2025 Green Ridge Street Dunmore with a mass of Christian burial on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church 800 Taylor Avenue Scranton. Interment Saint Michael's Cemetery Dunmore. Friends may call Tuesday at the funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. All those attending the funeral are asked to proceed directly to the church on Wednesday morning. Memorial contributions may be mad to the Gino Merli Veterans Center 401 Penn Avenue Scranton, PA 18503.
