FORTY FORT — Marilyn C. Kozloski, 83, of Forty Fort, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at Tiffany Court in Kingston, following a brief illness. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Harry S. Kozloski.
Marilyn's academic journey included attending Ss. Peter and Paul School in Plains Township, St. Anne's Academy in Wilkes-Barre and West Side High School in Kingston. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from College Misericordia in Dallas. She pursued a fulfilling career as an online sales representative for the Arthur H. Thomas medical equipment firm in Philadelphia.
A gentle and compassionate soul, Marilyn had a special love for animals, especially her cherished cats. Her love for plants, both indoors and out, was second only to her affection for animals. An avid reader, she curated an impressive collection of books, reflecting her lifelong passion for knowledge and learning.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Anthony and Helen (Workomski) Riofski, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Elena Kozloski; her granddaughters: Ashley, Khyla and Aaliyah Fritz; four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Frank Riofski and his wife, Lorraine.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers at Commonwealth Hospital, Allied Services Rehabilitation in Wilkes-Barre, Tiffany Court in Kingston, and Allied Services Hospice Integrated Health Systems in Clarks Summit, as well as Dr. Lorin Mangino and John Rosencrantz, for their compassionate care.
In accordance with Marilyn's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA of Wilkes-Barre, a cause close to her heart.
