Marilyn Ann Jaqua Larson (nee Hermann) was Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 84. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. A faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the people she cherished.
She was the loving mother of Lisha (Tim) Voelzke and foster son Wayne; the proud grandmother of Tyler and Chase Voelzke; and the dear auntie of Mark, Sandy, Anne, Mike, John, Paul, Dianna, James, Jennifer, Karen, and Beth. She was an honorary mom and grandma to many and a cherished friend to all who entered her life.
Marilyn lived a blessed and full life. She had a passion for her beautiful Irish Setters and showed them with pride. A true entrepreneur, she owned a dog grooming shop for over 32 years, operated several other small businesses, and raised Ocicats. Her dedicated service to Saint Agnes Church and Channel 10 & 36 reflected her commitment to her faith and her community. She also shared her heart and home by fostering many children over the years. Whatever Marilyn set her mind to, she pursued with heart, energy, and purpose.
She found joy throughout her life with the father of her children, Bob, and then with "the love of her life" Ronnie, Fiancé Frank, and later with Terry, who brought companionship and adventure in her later years.
More than anything, Marilyn poured her heart into her daughter, Lisha, and son-in-law, Tim, giving them unconditional love and support. Her grandsons, Tyler and Chase, filled her life with immeasurable joy, and she was endlessly proud of the young men they have become.
Marilyn loved to travel and treasured her time at her condo in South Padre Island. She delighted in hosting gatherings on her beloved back patio, where laughter, stories, love, and friendship flowed freely. She also truly enjoyed riding on the back of Terry's motorcycle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Alice Hermann; her brothers, Robert and Ralph Hermann; her beloved sons, Scott and baby Todd, nephew, Phil Hermann; and her husbands, Robert Edwards, Ronald Jaqua, and Terrance Larson.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Daniel Duffy, the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice Care, with a special thank you to Marina for her compassion and care.
Visitation Saturday, December 6 at ST. AGNES CATHOLIC CHURCH from 11:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM.
This funeral is being live streamed.
