Marilyn passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Bayfield Assisted Living at the age of 83. The daughter of the late Robert and Norma (Genge) Steadman was born February 1, 1941 in Harrisville, Michigan. Marilyn was a charter member of the former Christ United Methodist Church which is now Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women for over 40 years. She also enjoyed sewing, softball, bowling, golfing and doing crafts, but most of all she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl (Dale) Schroeder and Cindy (Mike) Willard; five grandchildren, Lindsay (Nathan) Baldwin, Avery (Caroline) Willard, Austin Schroeder, Brooke Schroeder and Colin Schroeder; one brother, Robert Steadman; one sister, Rita Richardson; three sisters-in-law, Judy Wilkinson, Paula (Dan) Schuchardt and Sue Louchart and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Ethan P. Schroeder and three brothers-in-law, Ken Louchart, Gary Louchart and John Richardson.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church-West Campus. Officiating will be Pastor Eric Kieb. Private interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission or The Salvation Army.
