Marilyn Lunny, born on December 24, 1936, in Richmond Hill, New York, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Her journey through life was shaped by her deep love for family and her unyielding spirit, which will be cherished by all who knew her.

Marilyn was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Lawrence Lunny, and an adoring mother to her children: Lynn Portela and her husband, Henry, Larry Lunny, Jr. and his partner, Lanier, Patricia Frohnappel and her husband, Mark, Karen Akos and her husband, Tom, Christopher Lunny and his wife, Adi, and Michelle Lunny. She found great joy in the lives of her grandchildren: Joseph, Austin (and Kelly), Nicolas (and Sara), Brian, Collin, Samantha (and Fisher), Mitchell, Rachel, and David. Additionally, Marilyn was proud of her great-grandchildren, Everly, Henry, and Andie.

She is lovingly remembered by her family, which continues to grow and thrive, bearing the legacy of her love and compassion. Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Topel, her mother, Martha Topel, and her brother, Lawrence Topel, Jr.

As we reflect on her remarkable life, we celebrate the memory of a woman whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering love made a profound impact on everyone she encountered. Marilyn Lunny leaves behind a legacy of familial bonds that will endure for generations to come. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones as they carry forward her values of love, family, and unity.
