Marilyn Marlenee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pineview Funeral Service - Hayward on Dec. 22, 2025.
Also known as "Marilyn Monroe"

Marilyn Marlenee, age 83 of Hayward, WI, passed away Wednesday December 17, 2025.

Marilyn was born on February 9, 1942, in Hayward, WI, the daughter of Larry and Marie (Germaine) Tainter. She grew up in the village of New Post and later spent part of her life out west in Montana, where she enjoyed the outdoors-especially hunting and fishing-with her late husband, Clarence.

From a young age, Marilyn learned the importance of family and loving one another. She was incredibly blessed with a big, caring, and loving heart. Generous, kind, and strong in her faith, Marilyn made it a point to let everyone know they were in her thoughts and prayers. She truly prayed for everyone throughout her life.

Marilyn spent her life caring for others, especially her family. She loved going to church, playing solitaire, doing crosswords, and spending time with loved ones and friends at Sisters B.I.N.G.O. or the casino. She enjoyed attending events of all kinds-especially celebrations. She loved music and could often be found dancing along. At home, she never missed an episode of Family Feud and proudly claimed Steve Harvey as her favorite "man," always laughing along.

Marilyn will be deeply missed by many and forever remembered for the lives she touched. Her words of wisdom, humor, and kindness will be carried on for generations. She was known for her quick wit, humor, and unapologetic authenticity. She never met a stranger and could make friends wherever she went.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters: Lorraine Gouge' (Gary Girard), Kimberly Fleming (Gary Belille Sr.), Misty Stephenson, and Tanya Reville (John Nix); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Johnny Boy Corbine; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Marie (Germaine) Tainter; her husband, Clarence Marlenee; her sons, John, Joseph, and Jason Fleming; her granddaughter, Tisha Belille & great grandson Ahsaad Anjenii Gougé; and her siblings: Joann and Charles Kagigebi; Darlene and Jim Cornwell; Lawrence and Shirley Tainter; Doris Tainter; Connie (Tainter) Corbine; Albert Tainter; and Gary and Jan Tainter.

Mass of Christian Bural will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 22nd at New Post Community Center with public visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Honorary casket bearers will be John Fleming, Michael Stephenson, Jayce Fleming, Levi Belille, Brianna Lugo-Reyes, Natasha Belille, Courtney Dowell, Jasmine Burnett, Brandi Fleming & Jaden Fleming.

Casket bearers will be James Gougé Jr., Anthony Gougé Sr., Joseph Gougé Sr., Gary Bilille Jr., Michael Grover Jr. & Joshua Fleming.

Marilyn's faith was the foundation of her life. She trusted deeply in God's promises and lived her faith through love, prayer, and service to others. While her family mourns her passing, they take comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into eternal peace, reunited with loved ones, and is resting in the arms of the Lord she so faithfully served. Her prayers, love, and joyful spirit will continue to guide those she leaves behind until they meet again.
