Marilyn McDanel

Marilyn McDanel, 90, of Lititz, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Chapel Pointe At Carlisle.
She was born in Beaver, PA, to the late John and Mary Anne (Phillips) Davis and was the dear wife of Keith McDanel. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on October 17.
Marilyn was a member of and faithfully attended Berean Bible Church, Ephrata. During her working years, she did secretarial work. In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed reading, cooking, bird watching, flower gardening, and jigsaw puzzles. She had a servant's heart and was an especially devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her and a source of great joy. Marilyn was gifted with a beautiful alto voice; she sang in a lady's trio and also played the piano. Her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to her husband, Marilyn is survived by three children, Jonathan McDanel (married to Carol), Elaine Whiteman (married to Jim), Gary McDanel; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two foster great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Evelyn Davis, Donald Davis and John Davis.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM, at Berean Bible Church, 675 Lincoln Gardens Rd, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 11 AM, with Pastor Kelly Sensenig officiating. Private interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
