Marilyn M. Neal, 91, of Gordonville, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at her residence.
She was born November 18, 1932, in Gordonville, daughter of the late Paul and Marguerite Siemers Borchelt. She and Jerry Neal were married February 18, 1951, at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville. He preceded her in death April 21, 1990.
Marilyn was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. She was a lifelong member of the church.
Marilyn sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed horses, previously owned Tennessee Walking horses, and was a member of the Jackson Trial Riders Association. She loved gardening from a very young age and always planted a yearly garden. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching their sporting events. She leaves behind her loyal dog companion, Pepper.
Loving survivors include, her children, Tom Neal of Vienna, Illinois, Tim (Joyce) Neal, Becky Myracle, Kenny Neal, Debbie (Rob) Birk, and Danny (Karen) Neal, all of Gordonville; grandchildren, Shane Neal, Jessica Neal, Ben Neal, Matt (Stephanie) Neal, Sara (Austin) Bock, Marci (Landon) Althoff, Katelyn (Luis) Velasquez, Austin (Breanna) Neal, Catherine (Blake) Gorton, Jamie (Landon) Bollinger, Leslie (Andrew) Ratliff, Lance (Amanda) Neal, Adam Elfrink, and Blake (Amy) Neal; and great-grandchildren, Witten and August Bock, Josie, Holly and Hannah Neal, Eva and Owen Althoff, Ava and Jack Neal, Rylee and Lynden Gorton, Carson and Jaxson Bollinger, Carter Ratliff, and Waylon, Sutton and Colton Neal.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2024, from 9 AM - 11 AM, at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM at the church, with Rev. Jacob May officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorial may take the form of donations to Christ Lutheran Church.
