Marilyn A. Olson

December 12, 1954 – December 29, 2025

Marilyn Ann Olson, age 71 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Born December 12, 1954 in Monroe. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Dushane) Roberts.

Marilyn first married Walter Willam Paul Jr. Together they raised a family of four daughters. Sadly, after 20 plus years of marriage, Jr passed away in 1991. Marilyn found love again through Danny Olson and they got married on September 6, 1997.

She used to own and operate her business called Marilyns Day Care. She loved children, so she never considered it a job to look after kids. Marilyn used to enjoy going camping at Bundy Hill, MI to also ride ATVs while visiting there as well.

In her free time, Marilyn loved to make any crafts, especially during the holidays. She was always very creative and would make door wreathes, glass snowmen, and painting ceramics. Most importantly, Marilyn cherished her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of 28 years to Danny Olson. Loving mother of Michelle Steinman, Melissa (Ken Wendler) Paul, Mary (Thomas) Bukovitz, and Tiffany Paul. Dearest grandmother of Gage Steinman, Cody (Melissa St. Louis) Paul, Autumn Paul, Allyssa (Andrew) Siebarth, Adrianna (Adam) Bailey, Gavin Bukovitz, Jacob Paul, and Jayden Paul. Great grandmother of Chloe, Zoey, Aiden, and Kayden. As well as many family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by first husband: Jr Paul; and brothers: Robert and James Roberts. Many other relatives as well.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family plans on having a memorial gathering at Rupp Funeral Home at a later date, with arrangements pending.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Marilyn are suggested to the family towards her cremains being laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery.
