Susan K. Webb

September 3, 1948 – January 27, 2026

Susan Kay Webb, age 77 of Monroe passed away suddenly on Tuesday January 27, 2026, at the ProMedica Regional Hospital Monroe.

Born September 3, 1948, in Monroe. Susan was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Zola M. (Stratton) Hotchkiss. Susan graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1966.

Susan met and married the love of her life, Thomas Webb, on October 21, 1967. They raised a family of two children together. Sadly, after 36 years of marriage, Thomas passed away in 2003.

Susan worked for 14 years at Monroe Public Schools as an Instructional Aide before retiring in 1990. She loved working with children. Susan was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In her spare time, she loved to crochet. She would crochet baby sets and afghans to be donated to those who needed them.

Susan will be remembered for her strong-willed personality and at times stubbornness. Most importantly, Susan absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. They were her world to spoil and adore. Susan will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Loving mother of Jeffrey (Maribeth) Webb and Lisa (Donnie) Richter. Dearest grandmother of Thomas (Megan) Richter, James (Kacee) Richter, Sara (Matthew) McCormick, Christian (Sarah) Webb, and Joshua Webb. Great grandmother of Lyla Richter, Wyatt McCormick, Mackenzie McCormick and Aryana.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas and her sisters: Carol Kranz, Barbara Padot-Bates and Janet Hotchkiss.

Friends and family are invited to a funeral mass on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Susan will lie instate at 10 am with mass starting at 11 am. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
