Marilyn was born January 22, 1953, the daughter of Paul LaCoste, Sr. and Agnolia LaCoste.

Marilyn dedicated herself to nurturing and educating young minds, serving as a CCD teacher at Sacred Heart Church, where she touched the lives of many families in her community. In addition to her educational contributions, she found joy in coaching bowling, sharing her love for the sport with young athletes.

In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, often found with a book in hand or watching her favorite Hallmark movies. Marilyn also enjoyed playing poker machines, finding joy in the thrill of the game. She had a zest for life that inspired those around her.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Micheal Pye and wife Heather, Jason Pye and wife Rebecca; two grandsons, Dylan Michael Pye and Riley Douglas Pye; three brothers, Jerry LaCoste, Paul LaCoste, Jr., and Gibson LaCoste; four sisters, Judy Crochet, Yvette Manley, Yvonne Parsons and Mona Verret.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Douglas “Doug” Pye; parents, Agnolia and Paul LaCoste, Sr.; and two sisters, Juanita Ganaway and Maria Sheehan.

A funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Twin City Funeral Home. The visitation will resume on at Twin City Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m., Friday, until the time of the funeral service at Immanuel Baptist Church.
