Marilyn Josephine (Stevens) Rohlfing, 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Chesterwood Nursing Care in West Chester, Ohio. She was born on December 5, 1931, to Cecil and Sylvia (Hughes) Stevens in Stockwell, Indiana.
Marilyn married Richard Rohlfing on November 22, 1956, and they were married for 54 years until his passing in 2011. Marilyn worked in food service management and administration at Carmel Clay Schools and worked for Foremost Insurance Company. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, arts & crafts, and Swedish Weave. Marilyn was a wonderful cook and baker known for her fabulous brownies. She was a cheerleader in her younger years and followed sports, especially Cincinnati Reds. Marilyn was a member of Carmel Lutheran Church/Cornerstone Lutheran Church.
Marilyn and Richard retired living in Fort Wayne, IN to be near family, then Bradenton, Florida for 12 years where they made lifelong friends, and finally returning to Fishers, IN. Marilyn was very involved with the community there and enjoyed the fun activities they had. Marilyn had a wonderful laugh, a warm heart, and was very welcoming. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Pat) Rohlfing-Delorme and Karan (Jim) Gilday; son, Ron Rohlfing; and her granddaughter, Cassandra Rohlfing-Delorme.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Neil Rohlfing; her son-in-law, John Daymut; her brothers, Leslie (Stooge), Milford, Gordon, and Herbert; and sisters, Maxine and Dorothy.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with funeral services at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Pastor Max Murphy will officiate. Marilyn will be laid to rest next to Richard at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
