Marilyn Tubb Obituary

Marilyn Joan Job Tubb, 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center - Gilmore in Amory. She was born on September 2, 1935 in Jamestown, North Dakota to the late Johnny and Mathilda Seher Job. Marilyn was the 1953 Miss White River Bathing Beauty in Batesville, Arkansas. She married Charles Tubb on Thanksgiving Day of 1953 and together they enjoyed over 70 years of marriage until his death in 2023. Marilyn Supported her husband and children through 28 years of Charles's Navy career, including numerous deployments and relocations. She was known for her positive and uplifting personality, her smile and laugh that would light up a room and was always everyone's best cheerleader and encourager. Marilyn was an avid reader and loved knitting, growing flowers, especially roses and baking. She will be fondly remembered as an elegant and gracious lady who was welcoming to all who met her.

Marilyn read her Bible every day and she had bookmarked her Bible in John 14:27 which reads, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Marilyn is survived by her son, Larry Alan Tubb (Donna) of Joplin, MO; daughter, Pamela Jean Santiago (Carlos), Dallas, TX; sister, Marlys Jean Whitely; grandchildren, Thane Andrew, Dana Lynn Woodyard (Phil), Jennifer Woodling (Erik) and Christopher Cates; great grandchildren, Emery, Valerie, Colin, Riley and Luke; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marilyn is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Job.

A private family burial was held.
