Marilynn J. Duffy, 90, of Peru passed away peacefully March 19, 2026 at Manor Court of Peru.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no mass or visitation. A private burial will be at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with her arrangements.
Marilynn was born in La Salle on October 15, 1935 to Lloyd and Anna (Glovetski) Schalla. She graduated from La Salle–Peru Township High School and St. Francis School of Nursing in Peoria with her RN Degree. She married Robert D. Duffy on December 1, 1956 at St. Hyacinth's Church in La Salle.
Marilynn is survived by one daughter, Lynn (Steve) Siska of Peru; one grandson, Ryan (Anna) Siska of St. Charles; one granddaughter, Katherine Siska of Chicago; one great grandson, Grant Siska; and a bonus granddaughter and great granddaughter, Jennifer and Corinne Siska of Albany, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert on February 17, 1988.
Memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
