Marilynn Clothilda Jackson was born on March 18, 1955, to her beloved parents, Louis George Jackson and Lilla Bell Jackson, in Cuthbert, Georgia. She transitioned to be with the Lord on September 8, 2025, at Emory DeKalb Hospital after a short battle with an intestinal blockage.
Marilynn grew up in Richland, Georgia, where she attended elementary school in Cusseta, Georgia. She was a graduate of Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, Georgia. She continued her formal education at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, achieving Summa Cum Laude honors. After graduation, she became the business owner of Rah's, a boutique in the Five Points Flea Market.
She was fun-loving and energetic, bringing joy wherever she went, yet firm when the moment called for guidance or strength. She had a generous spirit and was always willing to volunteer at events, offering her time and energy to support others. Her presence was a source of encouragement, and she had a way of making those around her feel valued and cared for.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis George Jackson and Lilla Bell Jackson, and her sister, Karen Quarles-Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Rhasheedah Jackson; three grandchildren, Shaquilla Jackson, Edrick Campbell, Jr., and Asya Campbell; and two great-grandchildren, Chosen and Charm Campbell. She is also survived by her son, Rasheem Jackson, and his daughter, Aaliyah Jackson; two sisters, Rosalind Jackson Minnfield and Angela Jackson Palmer; and one brother, Louis Glenn Jackson.
