Marina Atchley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin Funeral & Cremation - Waldron on Mar. 5, 2026.
Marina Ann (Sehorn) Atchley, 66, of Waldron, Arkansas, passed peacefully in her sleep into the arms of the Lord on March 4, 2026. She was born on February 5, 1960, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Dean and Deanna (Hill) Sehorn.

Marina was a gentle and loving soul, known by many for her soft-spoken nature and giver's heart. For many years, she worked at the Packsaddle Depot waiting tables where she met and made many life-long friends. But her true life's work was in taking care of her family. She married the love of her life, Mike, and together they raised a family. She made many sacrifices for her children, who she thought the world of, and made sure that they knew they were loved, forming close bonds with them. She wasn't just a mother to her own children; that love extended to all the children in her life, as well as the many beloved stray pets who she could not turn away. She was the best mama anyone could ever ask for. She was a proud MiMi and loved going to her grandchildren's plays and concerts, believing they could achieve anything their hearts desired. She led a quiet and simple life, finding enjoyment in her family, music, stories, shows, and reading her Bible.

Marina is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mike Atchley of the home, her three children; Joshua Adair of Waldron, Arkansas, Jacob and wife Lacey Atchley of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Miranda Atchley of Waldron, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brayden, Cadence, and Barrett Atchley of Van Buren, Arkansas; one brother, Rick and wife Peggy Sehorn of Hon, Arkansas, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Deanna Sehorn, and one grandson, Hudson Atchley.

A graveside service will be held for Marina on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Sehorn Cemetery with Mark Standridge officiating.
