He is survived by his daughters, Isabel Gomez of Sabinal, Texas, Yesiña Gomez of Iowa, Sue Ann Montejo and husband, Jorge of Iowa, Crystal Gomez of Sabinal, Texas, Kasandra Garcia and husband, Roy of Uvalde, Texas; sons, Mario Gomez, Jr. of Sabinal, Texas, Jose Angel Gomez, and wife, Jasmine of Sabinal, Texas and Manuel Gomez of Sabinal, Texas; sister, Andrea Sanchez of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Thomas Gomez of Wisconsin, Moses Gomez of San Antonio, Texas and Arcadio Gomez, Jr. of Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annabell Samarripa Gomez; daughter, April Gomez; sisters, Lupe Lopez, Juanita Lopez, Camila Espinoza; brother, and Jose Angel Gomez.
Visitation will begin on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. Texas A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal, Texas. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sabinal, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
