Mario Anthony Guiliano passed away on November 4, 2025 with his three children and daughter-in-law by his side. He bravely but privately battled End Stage Renal Disease in the last year of his life.

Mario was born and raised in the Bronx and had the accent to prove it. In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Navy and spent his time as a Radar Trainee before being Honorably Discharged to help care for his parents when his father became ill. Although his time in the Navy was briefer than he wanted, he was proud to serve his country and continued to support veterans throughout his life.

He met the love of his life, Madeline on New Year's Eve 1968 in New York City and they were married for 51 years before her death in 2023. They built a life together filled with many wonderful memories for them and their children. Grandpa was his favorite title, and he loved spoiling his two grandchildren and granddogs.

Mario had a long career at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company primarily working as a Systems Analyst. In his free time, Mario was an avid watcher of a variety of movies and tv shows, old and new. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He collected memorabilia that he proudly displayed along with his Navy mementos. He enjoyed going out for breakfast and could drink a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino in record time.

Mario was often a man of few words, but his family and friends will fondly remember his sarcastic wit and demonstrative reactions that resulted in some good laughs right up to the end. He is best described as a fiery Italian who loved and cared for his family fiercely.

Mario is survived by his children, Michele Whitted (John), Anthony (Nicole), Michael (Elizabeth); and grandchildren, Jackson and Samantha Whitted.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Madeline; parents, Julius and Mildred Guiliano; and sister, Filomena Scorca.

Services are pending.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, 5500 E. Kellogg Ave., Wichita, KS 67218.
